How to get from point A to B

There was a brief discussion this morning about keeping fit. We all know how to get there. So... if I know that exercise is vital, and I know how important eating healthy is then I have the map to success right? Not quite. With all this knowledge I haven't gotten anywhere. I guess I'm kind of like a man when he's lost and driving. I ignore the map completely without regard to logic or reason.

Dog it
Canines know we have it all wrong. Have you ever seen the look a dog gives you when your working out? Does my human know she's not getting anywhere? All that flailing around looks pretty pointless. They think we're crazy. Riding on our stationary bikes, jogging on the spot, or on a treadmill we aren't making progress. If I felt like I was going somewhere like Macy's or fetching a ball then it wouldn't seem such a chore, now would it?

Bitter sweet
I guess what I'm trying to say is that I've got more on my plate than a load of food. It's piled high with issues. Sometimes just keeping up with what life dishes out is enough. Besides, I'm a firm believer in something I heard in a great movie. 'Life's and banquet, and most poor suckers are starving to death'. I'm certainly not about to do that.

Here is a question to ponder while eating breakfast: Who came up with Nutella? Don't get me wrong, I'm not against chocolate for breakfast. Just give me sugar and I come back to life.

Food for thought
I wonder how many people eat MORE Mcdonalds since 'Supersize It'? I don't think I've eaten so many burgers and fries! If it's bad for me I WANT IT! If its cheap, if I'm lazy, if it isn't Mr. Noodles (I'm sick to death of) then it's fine by me. Just the suggestion triggers a craving. It really is addictive, I'll agree with that.

A mermaid near you
She baits the hook and reels me in everytime. The lure... hot or cold java, coffee, espresso! Who could resist? Starbucks makes going to work worthwhile. That little buzz that gets you through the day. Today is a Vente day for sure!

Bag Lady
I think I better unpack my purse. The idea of lugging it with me today is more than I can bare. I haven't gotten around to getting a new one. Just like the shoe shopping I've been putting off. I basically don't know what I want... Practical or really me.

I hate happy endings

I actually watched 'The Notebook' last night. Slap me and call me sappy! I'm not one for watching romance flicks. They leave me pining for the man at the end (Mr. Right). Gosh, if you won't have him I WILL! This particular movie had the usual love and heartbreak, back and forth, coming or going, like every other movie of it's genre. I won't ruin it for anyone, but the ending is TOO perfect. I guess I'm a cynic. An odd coincidence but I just caught 'The United States of Leland' over the weekend on cable.

No peeing in the middle!
Honestly Darrel, the dog was only drooling. Maybe, if you got your butt to bed at a decent time you wouldn't be so cranky.

Money's money, honey.
I'm going to stick around. I've decided to stay at my job until the store closes down, or they can't afford to pay me. At the moment I get decent hours and a fair wage. Why mess with that? Gawd, minimum wage? Nuh-uh!

The sound of music.
Is it a good idea to play a Michael Jackson tune in public, with the trial going on and what not? I nearly shuddered when I recognized the voice coming from the store stereo. Of course I turned it off. Actually they also had 'the lion king' music playing as well. We are supposed to draw the people into the place! I'm just sayin' it ain't right.
